Analysis Excellence was founded by Dr Murad Nasibov, a political scientist, analyst, and consultant whose professional work spans academia, international research programmes, non-profit leadership, and analytical consulting.

He holds a PhD in Political Science from Justus Liebig University Giessen and an MA in Political Science from the University of Manchester. He has been teaching politics and research methods at university level since 2012, has over fifteen years of experience in research, evaluation, and analytical consulting, has worked in international research consortia, and has held a senior leadership position in an international non-profit organisation. Across these roles, his work has focused on analytical research, evaluation methodologies, and the production and assessment of policy-relevant analysis.

Analysis Excellence builds on this combined experience in academic research, analytical practice, evaluation, and organisational leadership. The initiative is further supported by an international network of collaborators, including scholars, political analysts, evaluation specialists, management experts, and software developers.

The aim of Analysis Excellence is to help organisations that produce analysis develop structured ways of understanding and strengthening their analytical work — and to support the development of analytical excellence not only at the level of individual texts, but as an institutional capability that can be measured, developed, and strategically led over time.

Analysis Excellence was created on the premise that analytical excellence should not remain an abstract aspiration, but should be measurable, developable, and manageable at the institutional level.
